Supporting Local Opportunity

I want Ward 1 to be a place where local businesses, family farms, and entrepreneurs have opportunities to grow and succeed.

That means supporting local businesses and agriculture, encouraging opportunities closer to home, and making sure growth strengthens the communities that are already here.

Opportunities for Youth

Young people should be able to see a future for themselves in Caledon.

I want to support more opportunities for youth to work, volunteer, participate in recreation, get involved in their community, and have a voice in local government. Caledon should be a place where young people can build experience, contribute, and eventually build their lives.

Responsible Growth & Rural Caledon

Growth should be planned carefully and supported by the infrastructure and services our communities need.

I will consider how development affects existing residents, farmland, rural communities, groundwater, traffic, noise, the environment, and quality of life. When development, aggregate operations, or quarry proposals come before Council, I will take these local impacts seriously.

Safer Roads & Better Transportation

Road safety is a major concern for many residents. I want greater attention given to speeding, dangerous intersections, pedestrian safety, and safer routes around schools, parks, and residential areas.

As Caledon grows, our roads and transportation options also need to keep pace. I support practical ways to better connect residents to jobs, schools, services, and neighbouring communities.

Strong Community Services

Residents should have access to reliable municipal services and community spaces as Ward 1 grows.

I want to support well-maintained parks, recreation opportunities, community spaces, effective by-law enforcement, and reliable fire and emergency services. I also want seniors and residents of all abilities to be able to access the programs and services they need.

Accessible & Accountable Representation

Residents should be able to reach their councillor, receive a response, and understand what is happening at Town Hall. I will respond to resident emails within two business days and keep residents informed about important issues affecting Ward 1. I will also provide clear explanations of major Council votes, budget decisions, how I voted, and why.
